Meet Gogyohka five line poetry

Of interest to tanka and cinquain enthusiasts: Gogyohka (gho-ghee-yoh-kuh) is a Japanese form simpler than tanka. It is a five-line poem in which each line is one breath. It is the 1957 creation of Japanese tankaist Kusakabe Enta. The form began to gain popularity in Japan in the 1990s and now has spread to North America.
